SCOPE

         The Grievance Redressal Cell (GRC) has been constituted for the purpose of redressal of grievances of all involved stakeholders in order to maintain a harmonious educational atmosphere in the institute. The function of the cell is to look into the complaints lodged by any student,or staff and judge its merit. Anyone with a genuine grievance may approach the faculty members in person, or the officer in-charge Students‟ Grievance Cell. In case the person is unwilling to appear in self, grievances may be dropped in writing at the suggestion box kept at grievance redressal cell at the Admin Block. Objectives:

  • To develop an organizational framework to resolve Grievances of Students and other stakeholders.
  • To provide the students access to immediate, hassle free recourse to have their Grievances redressed.
  • To enlighten the students on their duties and responsibilities to access benefits due under the policies.
  • To institute a monitoring mechanism to oversee the functioning of the Grievance Redressal Policy.
  • Encouraging the Students to express their grievances / problems freely and frankly, without any fear of being victimized.
  • Suggestion / complaint Box will be installed in the Admin Block in which the Students or Staff, who want to remain anonymous, put in writing their grievances and their suggestions for improving the Academics / Administration in the College.

 

  • The function of the cell is to look into the complaints lodged by any student, and judge its merit. The Grievance cell is also empowered to look into matters of harassment
  • Anyone with a genuine grievance may approach the department members in person, or in consultation with the class in-charge.
  • In case the person is unwilling to appear in self, grievances may be dropped in writing at the letterbox/ suggestion box of the Grievance Cell at Administrative Block. Grievances may also be sent to officer in-charge of Students Grievance Cell.
  • The cases will be attended promptly on receipt of written grievances from the students. The Grievance Cell will act upon those cases which have been forwarded along with the necessary documents.
  • The Grievance Cell will assure that the grievance has been properly solved in a stipulated time limit provided by the cell
  • The cell formally will review all cases and will prepare statistical reports about the number of cases received. The cell will give report to the authority about the cases attended to and the number of pending cases, if any, which require direction and guidance from the higher authorities.
  • Roles of the Faculty Member

    The responsibility of the faculty member of a grievance readdressal cell is to discuss about grievances lodged by the students and others.

    2. The grievance readdressal cell expects that grievance Readdressal be time bound and result oriented. Every grievance is expected to be resolved within a reasonably period.

    3. The grievance readdressal cell of the college shall monitor status and progress of grievance readdressal and shall furnish report on grievance readdressal position to the Co-ordinator.

    Roles of the Student Member

    1. In case of any grievance the members of the cell are empowered to sort out the problems at their level through discussion with students.

      2. In case the members fail to find out any solution then the matter is referred to the principal for final commitment on the matter.

  • The Students may feel free to put up a grievance in writing or  in the format available in the Grievance Redressal Cell at Admin Department and drop it in the box available.
  • Students may also express their grievances online by filling up the form available in college website.
  • The Grievance Redressal Cell will act upon those cases which are forwarded along with the necessary documents or oral representation.
  • The Grievance Cell will assure that the grievances are properly solved in a week’s time.
  • Any Complaint received other than the Grievance Redressal cell will be forwarded to the Cell coordinator concerned.
