About Staff Affairs Committee

Staff Affairs Committee aims for overall development of staff members by applying different welfare schemes. This committee works for the benefit and welfare of the all staff and provides a channel to interact with each other. The Staff Affairs Committee promotes staff development and improves the quality of service and support provided.

                      The staff affairs committee has a wing is doing social service activities for the needy people in the near by areas .We offer financial support for the employees who are in difficult times due to severe ill health and hospitalized conditions.We also contribute a gift amount to all the employees of our institution towards their marriages and house warming functions etc.The fund for doing these activities is generated from the monthly voluntary contribution of all the employees.

Objectives

  • To ensure favorable working environment for members of staff
  • To coordinate for benevolent facilities for the members of staff
  • To plan for general welfare activities for, Teaching and Non Teaching staff

Functions of Committee:

  • Collection and Compile database of faculty and staff working in the campus
  • Conduction of Faculty Development Programmes and workshops for the faculty with the support of the respective Departments.
  • Encouraging the staff to participate for FDP’s and workshops outside the college.
  • Maintenance of relevant records
  • Contributing donation to the staff members who met in accident or sickbed
  • Contributing donation for helping the people suffered in calamity
  •  Contributing a gift amount to staff marriages.
  • Contributing a gift amount to staff New house warming functions.
  • Donate  some amount to Blind Schools, Trusts & Ashrams(i.e; Needy items) on eve of Mother Theresa birthday, Dr P V J Abdul Kalam birthday & Founder chairman Sri Bonam Venkata Chalamayya Varrdhanthi on every year
  • Maintenance of relevant records

Welfare Measures

The institution has effective welfare measures for teaching and non-teaching staff

Institution has adopted following welfare measures for both teaching & non-teaching staff members.

The details of Various welfare measures are given below:

Academic leave with full pay for pursuing higher studies. Registration fee, Dearness allowance, travel grants for teaching and non teaching staff for attending various seminars, conferences, workshops, faculty development programs, and skill development courses. Financial Support was provided for the faculty members to present the technical & Research Papers at various conferences. Seed money grant for pursuing minor research activities and supporting for experimental setup to pursue PhD. This was incorporated in the policy of incentives to the faculty. Faculty are provided Incentive for publications of textbooks, for publishing professional/academic/technical articles in relevant Science, Engineering, Management Science disciplines. Financial support is provided to the faculty for obtaining the patents in their relevant fields. Extending incentives to the faculty on completion of MOOCs courses like NPTEL. Faculty are encouraged for consultancy activities by providing sharing of revenue in consultancy projects. Permission to faculty to deliver guest lectures at other institutes Visits to industry and higher learning institutes for knowledge acquisition / sharing creating facilities to pursue research activities with modern facilities. All class rooms are equipped with digital boards and LCD for making the faculty to use latest technology for delivering the lectures effectively. Advanced and licensed softwares are provided for enhancing the professional skill of the faculty. Earned leave, Half Pay leave/Medical leave, Special leave, for both teaching and non- teaching staff are being provided.

Maternity leave for the women staff @120 days is sactioned. Provision of exclusive transport facility is there for teaching and non teaching staff. Bus travel facility is provided to students from various parts of the konaseema region. Management contribution to Provident funds for non teaching staff has been made compulsory, while it is voluntary to the faculty members. Extension of ESI benefits is provided to non-teaching staff. Group health insurance policy has been obtained for the non teaching staff. Availability of a Health Care Centre– First Aid with all accessories are kept in the laboratories where moving machinery is installed and also at strategic locations. Emergency medical care and first-aid is available in the campus with one Nursing Assistant. General medicines are made available in the centre. An Ambulance with all facilities is available in the college round the clock for emergency services. All staff both teaching and non teaching are allowed to avail sports facilities to improve their physical fitness. The ramp for accession on floor is provided for divyangans.
